Assembly Theory and Weak Emergence
The concept of assembly theory tells us that when we go from atoms to molecules, we can assign different levels of objects and think about things in different ways. Assembly theory also helps explain the idea of weak emergence, or systems that have properties that can't be explained by looking at the individual components.
