Floyd Collins, a renowned cave explorer, was embalmed and placed in a glass coffin in the great crystal cave for over 60 years, with tourists even visiting to see his remains through a glass window. The cave was eventually sold to a dentist who agreed to exhume Collins' body and put it on display in a respectful way in exchange for an extra 10K.
