The potential for using nuclear fusion to create a virtually unlimited source of clean energy without harmful waste products is being explored by scientists. Research has identified waste-free nuclear fusion using hydrogen extracted from seawater, which can be burnt in a fusion reactor to produce helium and almost limitless energy.
