Investigative journalist Maury Terry dedicated his life to investigating the Son of Sam case and its ties to a satanic cult known as the Processed Church of the Final Judgment, as David Berkowitz claimed to have acted in concert with them. Suspicious circumstances surrounded the deaths of the Carr family members, who were believed to lead the cult and with whom Berkowitz claimed to have worked.
