The recent advancements in two-photon and one-photon microscopy methods, pioneered by engineers, chemists, and physicists, have allowed for deeper brain imaging. However, researchers need to be cautious and thoughtful about what they are trying to write to the brain as there is still limited ability to image deep parts of the brain.
