Elick's shirt was tested by SLED using a chemical that turns areas with blood pink, revealing Maggie's DNA. Another test was done in July 2021 that showed more stains on the shirt, including tiny dots, and an expert noted that the front bottom of the t-shirt had transfer-type blood stains consistent with wiping a sweaty face that has blood on it.
