Ants have developed an incredible survival technique in the form of rafts which are made up of tightly woven bodies and air pockets that make them waterproof and able to float on water for extended periods of time. Through a collective effort of hundreds of thousands of ants, these rafts form patterns that can appear to be larger and more complex.
