An artificial object, initially named 2020SO, has been spotted in Earth's orbit. The object was given a name after being recognized as an artificial object because it does not have a cometary tail and its orbit deviates from that shaped by gravity, and it has been linked to the 1966 Surveyor 2 spacecraft.
