Assembly theory is used to determine if an object has been created through an evolutionary or information process, and the more parts an unsymmetrical object has, the more likely it is created through such processes. It can be applied to identifying objects found in space, such as the drone powered by a nuclear battery and equipped with a mass spectrometer, which can potentially detect enough quantities of molecules to be identified like a machine.
