Baba Yaga and Cannibalism in Ukraine
The Ukrainian famine, orchestrated by Stalin, led peasants to rebel against the government, resulting in the creation of blacklists of towns that wouldn't receive food. The harsh conditions forced people to resort to cannibalism and the folklore being, Baba Yaga, was said to protect a remote cabin where The Choppettes believe the spirit can be passed on to another person if killed.
