The goals of hypertrophy and muscle gain are generally the inverse of what you would want to do for longevity; therefore, focus on strength and mobility over hypertrophy to retain attributes of strength and flexibility when aging. This can be achieved through two to three reps of very high weights with plyometrics and a long rest between sets, along with intermittent fasting and purge fasts with medical supervision.
