A bipartisan group of lawmakers recommended criminal charges be brought against former President Trump and some of his top allies, including charges of insurrection, and send those referrals to the Justice Department. This represents a significant development as a former president who is now a declared candidate for president again in 2024 is recommended for criminal charges.
