On June 9th, Moroccans troops were called up by Norodom Sihanouk, the King of Cambodia, who dissolved the government, assumed emergency powers and declared himself prime minister. This prompted an uprising of right-wing Cambodians who took to the streets to advocate for the destruction of the current Democrat-dominated party in power.
