There are examples of countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam, and China that have transformed themselves remarkably in short periods of time. This raises the question of what made it possible for these countries to progress so quickly, and if the same transformation can be enacted in other developing countries such as Egypt or Ethiopia.
