Elevated levels of prolactin, affected by cannabis ingestion, contribute to the regulation of sexual function and arousal, with some people experiencing increased sexual arousal when on cannabis due to lowered prolactin production, whilst others with increased levels may have no change or lowered function in sexual arousal.
