Jackson Doe, who won the Liberian presidency and later tried to join Charles Taylor's forces, disappeared a few weeks later and nobody knows the reason. Taylor had used him as a way to show legitimacy but once he realized he wanted to remain as the President, he got rid of him and gradually confined Doe into controlling only the capital.
