Congress clashes with bank CEOs
Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib questioned CEOs of Citigroup, J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Morgan Stanley and Bank of America on their policies against funding new oil and gas projects, as the banks pledged to transition their emissions to net zero by 2050. Jamie Dimon, CEO of J.P. Morgan, opposed the idea and Tlaib later accused the banks' CEOs of not doing enough for people struggling with student loan debt.
