In Ezra, King Cyrus decreed that the kingdom of Egypt would be his, and he ordered the rebuilding of Solomon's temple paid for out of the king's treasury. Two kings after Cyrus, an order was found that would have pleased Yahweh for investing in the Cyrus conquests and bringing back sacred vessels from Solomon's temple.
