In July 1518, Frau Trofea went out on the streets of Strasbourg and started dancing, even though there was no music. What followed was a dancing plague where within a month, around 400 people were hyperventilating, hallucinating, some of them dropped dead of heart attack, exhaustion and many people blame on ergot poisoning.
