A study conducted on 25 people with OCD, 25 people with OCPD, 25 people with both, and 25 healthy controls found fundamental differences in wiring, behavior and psychology between OCD and OCPD. While people with OCD experience intrusive thoughts, those with OCPD show an enhanced ability to defer gratification and delay rewards.
