The issues of guns and abortion require drawing an arbitrary line in the sand that's not usually based in anything beyond emotions or philosophical/religious backgrounds. Most people think these issues are cut and dry but the reality is, they're not and require deep thought. Also, not allowing people to put you in a box and categorize you is one of the best things one can do to be seen as a multi-layered and interesting individual.
