A Japanese doomsday cult called Aum Shinrikyo attempted to build weapons and failed, leading them to focus on redesigning their trucks to carry chemical weapons. The cult's leader allegedly transported followers to Russia for military training that included helicopter and tank rides and assault rifle and rocket launcher training.
