In Portland, the 4th of July celebrations brought a crowd of over a thousand people to the city parks in front of the Justice Center and the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse. Protesters aimed commercial-grade fireworks straight into the justice center and set fires around the elk statue as part of the celebrations.
