Samuel Bankman Fried, the founder of FTX, was charged with eight counts of fraud, including lying to investors and misusing deposits for personal gain, after his arrest in the Bahamas on Monday. Federal prosecutors and the Securities and Exchange Commission accused him of deceiving investors who had invested almost $2 billion in FTX.
