The accountability of corporations is a challenging issue given that they have the advantages of personhood and citizenship but none of the accountability and responsibilities. However, the biggest obstacle in holding corporations accountable is the business community, especially those like the Business Roundtable, which fights against any push to raise corporate tax rates citing long-term American competitiveness.
