The Stuxnet worm sabotaged Iran's nuclear program by causing the gas to pour into the centrifuges, which lead to an increase in pressure inside the centrifuges and caused them to spin out of control. The virus could then seek out and alter the SCADA software that controls the centrifuges, exploiting unknown bugs in the software.
