The detectives were on the hunt for Rhonda Lambert following the murder of Russell Perry, who Rhonda was living with. The lead detectives on the case contacted the Brookhaven PD in Mississippi, where Rhonda was from, and their chief of police knew the Lambert family and would try to make contact with her.
