A report by the Texas Rangers revealed that a drill instructor and nurse ignored the pleas for help from a 21-year-old inmate who later died in a county jail in Texas. The inmate, Evan Parker Alexander, had been coughing up blood and having trouble breathing, but was told that he was faking it and was denied medical assistance.
