An investigation into whether a SWAT officer, Ryan Calkins, was part of a white supremacy group was discussed during a deposition as part of a civil lawsuit filed by the family of Terrence Sterling who was fatally shot by Calkins in 2016, but Calkins denied being part of any hate group.
