As the Oslo Accords brought hopefulness for peace in the Middle East, Itamar Ben-Gavir swam against the flow and opposed the diplomatic agreements between the Israelis and the Palestinians in the early 90s. He even supported the vandalism of the car belonging to the Israeli prime minister at the time, Yitzhak Rabin, who was driving the peace process.
