Patients taking the home dewormer medication, ivermectin, to treat COVID-19 are causing backups in emergency rooms and ambulances in rural Oklahoma. The medication, although having shown limited effectiveness against COVID-19, has been mistakenly taken in large doses that can be harmful to individuals.
