The Japanese Offensive in Central Burma also known as the Yugo Campaign in Japanese history and the Invasion of India in Anglo-American histories aimed at keeping Japan from losing the war and slow down the Allied Forces. However, the Offensive resulted in the casualties of 750,000 Chinese soldiers and possibly 200,000 Chinese civilians due to the damage that was done to the Nationalist Chinese.
