Jim Corbett was a hunter turned conservationist who tirelessly advocated for tiger protection and conservation of their habitat. He used his film footage of wild tigers to lobby for their protection, and played a key role in establishing India's first national park, Haley National Park, which was later renamed Jim Corbett National Park.
