Joe Arpaio, a former sheriff of Maricopa County, took his posse and began conducting immigration sweeps in immigrant neighborhoods. He would bust into auto shops and grocery stores, pulling people out of their jobs and sending hundreds of volunteer randos into other people's cities to do sweeps of immigrant neighborhoods.
