L. Ron Hubbard returns to the US and settles in Wichita, Kansas with the help of a Dianetics enthusiast named Purcell. Despite Hubbard's claims of Dianetics being a field of research, there is very little real research being done. Meanwhile, Sarah, his wife, files a petition to have his assets placed into receivership.
