The co-founder of Google, Larry Page, has unfortunately stepped back from running Google and has stated that it's not the same company anymore. Google's initial mission of making the world's information accessible to everybody remains one of the most beautiful missions of any company in history, but there have been changes to the company's model that are becoming more corporatized.
