The EU has demanded the legal concept where everyone has the right to know why they were affected by an algorithmic decision such as being denied a mortgage or a credit card, regardless of regulation stifling innovation. Even though this seems to be a promising technique, scientists have a two-year deadline to remain legally sufficient to please the EU and understand legally difficult to meet the standards.
