A Louisiana man has been charged with negligent homicide after allowing his pit bull to roam free in a neighborhood, resulting in the dog attacking and killing a seven-year-old girl who was playing outside her relative's home. The girl's relative tried unsuccessfully to stop the attack and she was later transported to a hospital.
