Dr. Wagner, a neuropsychologist, conducted neurocognitive batteries for individuals before and after MDMA usage, and found no negative impacts on cognitive profiles. Experimental patients receiving MDMA and chronic users who only take MDMA both show no signs of neurocognitive damage, and it's likely that modest dose exposure over a lifetime does not have a profound effect on neurocognitive functioning.
