Research shows changing the choice of using a condom from an immediate option to a delayed option affects a person's likelihood of condom use. By asking individuals to rate their likelihood of using a condom on a scale when given a choice between immediate sex without a condom or delayed sex with a condom, researchers were able to better measure the behavior.
