At the Western Australia inventor of the year competition, Melanie Perkins meets Bill Ty, the seed investor of Canva and a famous investor in Silicon Valley, who asks to meet up if she ever goes to Silicon Valley. Later, Perkins devises a plan to meet Ty while in Silicon Valley by pretending it was a coincidence they would be in the same place at the same time.
