Microbes and Tourette Syndrome
In upstate New York, sixteen-year-old Laurie Braunwell was diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome after headbanging at a concert and experiencing involuntary twitching and clapping, twisting her hair, and fluttering her fingers. It has been suggested that microbes may be related to the onset of Tourettes.
