Nazi's strongest base of support among self-employed Germans, not unemployed or blue-collar workers
A 2008 analysis of German voting behavior from Princeton showed that the Nazi's strongest base of support among Germans who were hurt by the economic downturn were the self-employed, independent artisans, small farmers, shopkeepers, and lawyers, who were hurt economically by the depression.
