Neil Gaiman used to be great at working on multiple projects simultaneously, but he now recognizes that he does not work as efficiently that way anymore. When he was writing American Gods, for example, he would always have the next in the 'coming to America' short stories in his head, but now realizes that he gets less done when he has too many projects going on at once.
