HackerGiraffe, a vigilante hacker, found over 50,000 printers that are exposed online due to the printers requesting too much to be opened or routers opening too much automatically. Networked devices such as printers, Chromecast, gaming consoles, and wifi hotspots need to be allowed connections by the router, but proper precautions should be taken to prevent exposure to the internet.
