A new DNA testing technology helped identify the murderer and kidnapper of Rita Gutierrez-Garcia, by analyzing a stain found on Juan Figueroa's truck passenger seat. The DNA test results showed that it was indeed Rita's DNA in that stain, which provided a crucial piece of evidence to bring justice to her case.
