The use of artificial intelligence in collaboration with humans is seen as an effective strategy for the semi-autonomous environment of airplane and vehicle systems, especially for safety critical situations. Non-traditional formation tactics and the introduction of randomness could also be made possible by AI-based mission planners, rather than just for the sake of convenience.
