The Stanley Hotel is believed to be a hub for paranormal activity due to the energy field and large amounts of existing paranormal activity within the building, with numerous reports of sightings and sounds. The hotel was built by F.O. Stanley, who also contributed greatly to the town of Estes Park through the establishment of the first bank, schools, gifting of land, and helping establish Rocky Mountain National Park.
