Setting small goals to make better decisions
A military colonel once advised people to set their goal as a menial task like brushing teeth, as a reminder that small tasks form the foundation of larger ones. By applying this principle to bigger decisions, it becomes easier to make hard choices that may not be comfortable in the short run, but will ultimately lead to greater happiness in the long run.
