In Part 2 of this episode, the detectives confirm that their suspect, Jose Rodriguez-Cruz, has a history of domestic violence, lending credence to their theory that he killed Pamela Butler. However, they still can't tell Derek Butler, Pamela's brother and previous suspect, that he is innocent until they gather enough evidence to arrest Jose for the murder.
